Is your Slim recessed light able to fit around/under joists?

Yes, our Slim LED unit has two spring connectors and a flat surface on the back of it so that you can cut a hole with the joists visible and still fit the spring connectors around the joists (they secure the downlight in place). 

Make sure you leave enough room for the j-box to slide into the ceiling space. It will connect quickly to the Slim LED with the included twist connector for power. Since the j-box is separate, this allows you to fit this Slim where most recessed lights are too bulky to fit.

This applies to the Slims with Junction Box (separated) and not the Slim with Integrated Junction Box.
